Is your original Black Out Switch corroded and damaged or your “NOS” replacement missing screws? Our master parts kits have all the hardware required to restore your typical BO switch for Bantam and Ben Hur trailers. In addition to the hardware we also have the Vellumoid gaskets, made by the same manufacturer as during WW2, still made in the United States. Whether you are doing a Factory Class restoration or just want to keep water out of your switch as originally intended you are going to want this part for your trailer.
Per original specifications you get the following:
(6) 8-32 x 1/4 Round Head Machine Screws
(6) No. 8 Lock Washers
(3) 10-32 Hex Nuts
(3) No. 10 Internal Toothed Lock Washers
(3) 10-32 x 5/8 Round Head Machine Screws (G518/G527)
(3) 10-32 x 5/16 Round Head Machine Screws (G529)
(1) Vellumoid Gasket cut to size and hole punched
Optionally we also have the large nut and lock washer for securing to the frame of G529 trailers. We also stock the rubber grommets to replace dried grommets on switches that do not have rolled edges on the wire openings (Douglas). Lastly, although it’s not a hard part to make, sometimes it’s just easier to let someone else get cut working on sheet metal. So we offer the backing plates as well.
