Description

These wood model kits were popular items in the 1930s and 40s. Red-Y-Cut made models for the civilian market as well as for distribution via the Red Cross. It is believed they were distributed as a convalescent project. Whether you want one for your Red Cross display, to build because you don’t have space for the full size trailer,  to give to a relative or just because it’s nifty we have recreated every component. The model is copied as faithfully as we could. One of the pieces of wood is a different dimension, the drawbar on our is actually slightly heavier. The box and label can be categorized as “Inspired by” rather than an exact reproduction.

The pictured model is one we built from the reproduction kits. The only tools required were a knife, needle nose pliers, wire cutters (We used a multi-tool for all of those) and a hammer. You’ll need some glue and some paint as well. But that’s it.
