Description

The British soldier in 1940 did not drink much coffee, but many British reenactors in 2022 do. These labels were created because we had a 1940 event that we were serving coffee at. These labels are a reproduction of  wartime coffee tins that are in the collection of the Imperial War Museum. We have two types available. David Greig, a Scottish grocer brand and Hansons Red, White & Blue a coffee and chicory blend. There are a few custom changes; The directions came from another tin of David Greig coffee that may be pre or post war, but we felt the directions were a nice addition. The label is high quality bumper sticker vinyl material that when wrapped around a tea canister available here (Amazon Link) provides a durable facsimile of the original lithographed tin. These tins are slightly smaller only holding 6 oz. of coffee, not 8 oz.

This is the label only. Not the tin, the cup, nor the coffee. We ordered our tins from the link above (no affiliation just where we got them). There may be other options out there. The labels measure 3.75″ high by 8.5″ long. A little trick to help enhance the appearance is to apply some Matte Medium or Modge Podge type product to the area of the seam. It gives it that tinned look. Custom designed by Nicole, our own graphic designer.

Shipping costs on stickers and labels is $1.00 flat rate. Buy 1, buy 100 only pay $1.00 for shipping. Mix and Match.
